'The Man Who Wasn't There' illustration

For all of his massive life failings (West Ham supporter) James Howard has conjured up some amazing art projects in his time and his latest is my favourite yet.  Draw Coen Brothers Characters has inspired contributions by a motley bunch of illustrators and designers including the likes of Stanley Chow and Jonathan Edwards.   Typically I went down a road less travelled by illustrating a piece inspired by 'The Man Who Wasn't There'.  Warning: contains mild spoilers and Billy Bob Thornton veers off slightly towards Lee Marvin and David Byrne.

More January goodness!

All orders for the rest of January will come with an original illustration of whatever you want me to draw.  Drawn on postcards in dipping pen and Indian ink with additional ink wash here are a couple of examples to inspire.

I'm going to be making a new linocut print every fortnight in 2014 as well; the first one is done but I'm in Margate for a few days so there's been a delay with getting it online.  Each print will be from a small run of twenty and also be very cheap.  I may even do a yearly subscription thing which will be even cheaper.  More to follow...

I've got some big plans for 2014 but also some small ones too; the illustration below is part of a new effort to draw something everyday without over-thinking it and just enjoying drawing.  This is the best one from last week inspired by a photograph taken by Lauren Barbour.
